I think I would have stopped to tell the man "I'll be at soandso vet on soandso street." and then left.
That seems like an impossible situation. Wanting to obey the law...needing to save your dog. It's so sad.
I know I keep posting here. I just feel so personally affected by this for some reason. It kind of reminds me of when Tucker was a puppy and he ran away at night. I was with my friends and I was screaming like a maniac - a cop stopped and I was expecting to get yelled at, but he paged the other cops in the area and told them to keep an eye out. It's not the same situation (AT ALL), but I just wonder what would have happened if a cop like that had pulled him over instead.
Has there been anything said about this besides the initial story? Like any followups or investigations or anything?
