Hi everyone. Just joined the site a few weeks back when we got our new puppy, Maya. Lots of interesting posts- some informative, some interesting, and others that just plain make you think, "At least she doesn't do that."
Wondering if anyone can relate...
Our 15 week old puppy is walking pretty well on the leash during the day. She stops a lot, but starts back up with a little encouragement. However, when I walk her in the morning it's still dark out, and she won't get started. She sits and looks around, but doesn't budge- even with the same encouragements that work during the day.
In another twist, if I carry her to the end of the street in the morning and then start back home, she practically runs the entire way. It's still dark out, mind you. (She generally does better on the way home on every walk, so this isn't all that surprising).
I'm interested if anyone can relate or has had the same thing, i.e. a puppy that's afraid of the dark!
