You can feed all kibble, all canned, or some of each.
Whatever works for you.
I prefer canned because it is less processed and I like the moisture content.
Some people don't like canned because It "rots teeth" but there is very little evidence of that. Most hard foods break on contact, so unless it is a dental diet specifically made for this, I wouldn't count on it to clean my dog's teeth. Whatever you feed, their teeth need to be brushed regularly.
