I just wanted to add that it's really important to keep all water out of the ears when shampooing, even a tiny bit of water can lead to infection. Some people suggest placing cotton balls in each ear, and folding earflaps down when rinsing. Yorkies aren't as prone to ear infections as some breeds such as the Maltese because ears that stand dry faster. Not saying that this is the problem, but just thought you might like to know. I though chicken was relatively safe, but I have heard that many dogs have allergies to corn.
