Bo - my best suggestion would be to get a good quality set of clippers. Andis makes a quality product. We purchased the larger cordless set ($199) for trimming our horses faces and legs and the product was a workhorse (pardon the pun). We used those clippers for about 5 years during the time when we had the most horses here at the farm and were doing lots of pony parties and parades.

I don't know anything about the particular set you are looking at, but I would recommend Andis. Also, a trick we learned the hard way - which you probably already know - NEVER EVER use your clippers on a dirty animal - it will dull your blades speedyquick.

Good luck with grooming Hot Rod and Maggie Mae - can't wait to see pics.
