I do have a question. Baylee is 12 wks old. She has really thick black hair. Its getting kinda long. Long enough that when I run my fingers through it its about an inch past my fingers. She loves running around outside but gets hot pretty fast cause of her hair. So What is to short to trim her hair? Do you think iit's to late in the year to trim her down short? I just don't want to get her hair shorter and it not grow back befor it starts getting cold out.
I really only got Hot Rod shaped up the last groom. His real last cut was in May. From what I have read, I wanted to make sure that his hair would be by the time it got cold. He had gotten a total puppy cut back in March. I probably should have not gotten him cut in May, but just trimmed cause his hair is still a wee bit short for now.

Maggie's hair is thick and wavy. I think that I will just trim her for now, she is 15 1/2 weeks old. I think her breeder trimmed her hair around her face and feet already. I want to try and see how her grows before I really cut it back. It's going to be like watching water boil though...she still has her puppy hair.
