Aloe works very well. Keep the scabs moist and it works wonders. When we first moved into our house our two year old was running outside and playing on the driveway..she did a header. Scraped up one half of her face from top to bottom..it looked horrible. My dad brought over an aloe plant and had me cut chunks of the leaf and open it up and rub it on her wounds. Well she healed nicely and no scars.
