Thank you so much for sharing the video with us. I live in the Upper West Side and I will never forget 911. I was sleeping went my husband called me to tell what had happened. I turned the TV On and my sister, her husband and I were watching on disbelief. My sister were visiting from Ga and they were planning to stay in the hotel in the WTC. The Hotel didn't have any rooms available so she decided to stay with us. When the second plane crashed I though was an explossion and my brother in law told us "no" and that was a second plane and was no accident. We were in shock. Then we heard a plane crashed in the pentagon. It was just surreal. My husband left his job and pick our son from school. I was just so scared, nobody knew if there could be more attacks. I dont live close to the WTC (is like 130 blocks)and you can still see and smell the smoke.
I didnt loose any family members or close friends that day but it still affected me deeply. I was just watching the news and crying. Just couldn't understand why something like that happened.
My aunt's neighbors daugther died that day and her body was never found. |
