Sometimes when people say stupid things you can just agree with them, for example the person who said she looked like a mop, you can just agree and say, "Oh yes, I know she's my little mop head," or something to that effect. I have found that this works really well at stopping negative comments, and it helps in winning people over. I disagree with those who say, you shouldn't dress your dog for an obedience class, but whenever you do dress your dog, you're going to get lots of attention both negative and positive. I don't know why people have such a problem with those that dress their dogs; it never ceases to amaze me though. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt, many just don't know what to say, and blurt out something stupid. I wish I could see a picture of her in her little dress, I bet she was a knockout. |
