I Saute onions and garlic and the brown rice in olive oil. I season it and once the rice stars to brown I add chicken broth. YOU could use veg broth. I boil it until almost tender. Then I stir in more broth if needed and then mushrooms. I turn the heat down and put the lid on it and steam until fluffy.
And yes you CAN get brown rice fluffy.

Try Quinoa. I prefer it over brown rice with stews and such! |
