The night before this happened, I was leaving at night to grab some coffee. As I was closing my gate, something landed in my hair and it had some weight on it too. I hit myself and got in the car but never knew what it was. The very next day, during daylight, I was coming through the same gate and as soon as I slammed it shut, is when I felt it land in my hair. So YES! I do think it fell from the tree or gate or roof, my goodness
