You must've been terrified! Otis will run out the front door so I keep 2 panels of a plastic ex-pen in front of the door. It gives a little room so people can come inside and shut the door and I have time to pick Otis up before I move it for them to come on inside. What it really does is cut down on surprises. If anyone ever just walks in the door, I know Otis is safe and can't run out. It gives me a couple seconds to pick him up and then move the gate to welcome them in. Good Luck! I fear if that was Otis he would've been in the next county before he even looked back.
