My pom has it and I have her on a very strict diet of dog food and one treat. She is also on a medicine everyday and that has pretty much controlled it, but she is 11 1/2 years old your vet may not want a young dog on meds. With Maya she has so many other conditions that we just try and treat her symptoms to keep her comfortable. Work with your vet or an internal medicine doctor. Also probiotics are helpful.
