I sure do understand. Onni is only 3 pounds and so tiny.

I think she will do fine in the kitchen as long as there is nothing for her to chew on or get herself caught up in or on. I would be nervous about having anyone check on her too; especially if they had kids. I worry about Onni even when I am standing right there and someone else picks her up.

I leave Onni in her kennel closed up in our bedroom when we leave so none of the other dogs have access to her; but I have never been gone for any longer than 3.5 hours on Sunday morning for church. I also leave the tv on low so she has something to listen to.
