All I can say that in my county if I get a complaint I go. I seized two puppies yesterday one had a wound that was 18 inches down it's back. The vet said it was burned with some type of chemical or hot water. If the dogs are in need of medical care or are in a situation where they could die in Virginia you can take them and I do! I do not know the laws in TN. But in Va every complaint is supposed to be checked out, if not you can call the state vet and they call the local animal control and make them go. I have had people call PETA and they call in the complaint. The county I live in the ACOs are lazy and basically do nothing! They told me I would have to take my neighbor to court myself. I called his landlord and things got better. If you are not satisfied with the way your animal control handles a call then call the county administrator. He is voted into office and likes to keep the people happy! |
