I too think it might be separation anxiety. It takes time to get them over that and very gradually. We had a yellow lab with separation anxiety and we started by leaving the house for a minute or two and come back then five minutes, 15 minutes, etc. until we could leave for a couple hours at least. She was so bad that she clawed up all the interior doors because they panic and want to get out to look for their master(s). Sometimes medication is required too but I like to try other training methods first. Also, it is good advice to consider another dog for a playmate if that is a possiblity for you. |
