My boys are both neutered and they both mark. They are potty pad and outside trained. To help with the hiking problem, I lay a small washable potty pad up against their favorite spots. For some reason they like 2 doorways in my house. Sometimes they don't do it at all and sometimes more. I've heard it is definately behavioral. I have belly bands for when we go to other peoples houses. Good Luck. I'm just glad I have wood floors!!
