I had a yuck salad last week that I made myself. Up until then I was on a salad kick and was making one every day for lunch. As I was chewing the second to the last bite I looked in the bowl and saw.... a BUG! It was a dead green leaf eating bug- maybe half an inch long, the exact color of the lettuce.
I buy the pre mixed bags of organic lettuce for the convenience of having the blend of lettuces but I still give it a rinse. I guess I washed the bug too. It was so awful I haven't been able to eat a salad since then.
