You asked if any of us had our furbabies on Prednisone....Piccolo was on Prednisone for about six months, for a completely different problem. She started off weighing 7 lbs. (It made her gain weight.) The Vet Dermotologist slowly moved the amount up and slowly moved it down, after she went into remission. I think it started at a quarter of pill, twice a day. The most she was on was 1 whole pill, twice a day. When the amount was at the highest, I had to keep her away from other dogs, because it caused her immunity to be very low. (Other side effects, too.) I don't know if this helps - hope so.... |
