I wouldn't give her sugar water unless the vet specifically advised it. Too much sugar without any essential fats will cause an insulin response and she'll crash more often. Use Nutri-Cal instead of Karo and give her a pea sized dose about fifteen to twenty minutes before offering her food. She should perk up when it kicks in and be more willing to eat. Offer her goats milk to drink, it's a little bit sweet and has lots of nutrition. Be sure to monitor how often she urinates and watch for pink color in the gums. If she doesn't urinate regularly and her gums turn grey she is dehydrated.

The antibiotics alone are enough to make her feel bad, but when you add the infection and the hypoglycemia she is going to feel really yucky. Just be patient with her and watch her closely, the first day she starts to improve and play it will all be worth it. Always remember to give her some yogurt with active cultures during and after antibiotics, this will help repopulate her digestive system with beneficial bacteria.

Just keeping her eating and drinking is the major part of the battle. You'll be so proud when she begins to feel better and starts to play. Good Luck.
