Just curious if there are any other Hamster owners here at YT? My son's
6th Birthday is Wednesday and he asked my parents to purchase him a hamster. So last week they arrived with Peter Pan a.k.a Petey! He is a European Black Belly Hamster.
Is there anything I need to know about hamsters? We have never owned them before. My daughter was so excited about Petey that she bought herself a regular hamster female (she named her Tinkerbell) but she had "wet tail" and died w/in 24 hrs of having her so she too now is the owner of Petey's brother and his name is Stormy.
Stormy actually broke out of his hamster habitat lastnight (thank god the yorkies were in a deep sleep or we would of had some drama this morning! - so now Peter Pan and Stormy have luggage locks on their cages!
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
