I agree - do whatever works for you. Here's my experience - We were giving Hercules treats and after probably 2 months with relatively good success, I realized he started to fake pee in order to get treats. He would get us to take him outside, and then he would squat in his little pee box like he was peeing and then go inside to the treat area and jump up and down for a treat. But he never peed! So what we started to do was give him a treat probably half the time (ok maybe more, he's too cute resist!). So maybe cut the treats down, so he doesn't rely on getting a treat.
