I had the same thing happen when Rebel was a puppy - he also escaped. (I think Lucy encouraged him  )
After that, they both spent the days in an x-pen for a while, but after I moved into this house and put down laminate floors - they have the run of the front part of the house during the day. They both use peepee pads, but Rebel has a problem hitting his mark sometimes.
He backs around in a circle when he poops and sometimes I think he makes himself dizzy because he misses the pad by an INCH!
