Wow. Well, I am glad she got help. When you are determined to help someone you can do things you normally wouldn't! God bless you both!

As for your neighbor, do you know them at all? Do you think they would be compassionate and understanding, willing to compensate for what their dogs did? If not, I would maybe call the vet and ask them what they suggest you do. They may have a suggestion to point you in the right direction locally. I have seen people sue in small claims court for one pet injuring another. I'm sure that is an avenue you don't want to venture down, but it is not fair that you have the burden of paying for the vet bills for something their dogs did. I wish you luck, keep us posted!
