So he does fine on the Canidae kibble but not Wellness - do I have that right? If so, I'd keep him on the Canidae - it's a nice food.
As far as adding in cottage cheese and chicken: adding real food is great - you just want to remember that when the "real food" starts to exceed about 15-20% of the overall diet, you really should be supplementing and balancing the cal/phos ratio, bc it's probably out of balance at that point.
