Toy breeds are supposed to stay with their parents until they're at least 10 weeks old, but most breeders reccomend 12 weeks. It's very important for their socialization skills and sometimes even their health. If you got him from a pet store, he is probably from something called a puppy mill, which is basically a farm where dogs are kept in cages their whole lives and bred over and over again for the pups to be sold to pet stores. It's awful. These puppies are taken from their parents at a VERY scary young age of probably about 4-6 weeks old and taken to pet stores sometimes in trucks FULL of other possibly sick pups.
It's ok if you got him from a pet store, because you may not have known about puppy mills but you do not want to get a puppy from a pet store in the future. But take him to the vet right away (your best bet would be a vet that specializes in small dogs) and have him tested for liver shunt, parvo, etc. It may just be that your dog is just a little sick...but you want to err on the side of caution.
