Does anyone know if AKC (or any other registry) has applied to Los Angeles for official "recognition" yet? If they haven't done that by Oct 1, no one is going to be able to "legally" own unaltered dogs and cats in that area.
Chicago is trying to pass a similar bill and Virginia is thought to be the next area that will be targeted. |
Really??? It's not in effect yet????
I thought it was!?!?!?!? The news sure made it seem as if it went into effect and the way the SPCA was celebrating and quickly opened up new spay and neuter centers made it seemed like it had gone into effect. I guess I was misinformed!!!
Does anyone really think these kind of laws will really help? I'm hoping they do, but am really sceptical.
