You are so right! Bobby used to do this. I would say no over and over he would bark and bark. Now when he is being naughty and he knows it, I will say no once, if he continues to do it, I will just walk away from him. I think he usually is naughty when he wants my attention. After I walk away he just follows me. I will still ignore him and then go back to the original location not saying anything. It works really well.
