I'm so glad that Katie is better and home with you now.
Lady had HGE in May and it was the scariest thing I have ever been through. She got so sick so fast. She seemed to have a little upset tummy in the morning and didn't want her breakfast. Four hours later I had to rush her the vet because she had pure blood diarrhea.
Did your vet tell you what Katie's packed cell volume was? That would tell him if it was HGE or not. Dogs with HGE have a PVC of 60% or more. (Normal is 35-55%). |
