i just wanted to write all of you and let you know that we brought katie home from the pet hospital tonight! just got back with her. she is better and the vet believes she is on the mend. she still has some healing left to do and she has several medications that we have to give her over the next 10 days (thankfully she came home with a sheet of instructions!

they weren't able to pinpoint the exact cause of what made her so sick causing all the vomiting and diarrhea, but the vet said the most likely cause was HGE (hemorrhagic gastroenteritis), GI toxicity or possibly a flare up of an underlying GI problem. we're just happy she is getting better and at home.
