I had Tucker shipped, and I had no problems. The breeder made sure to put lots of labels all over his crate that said DO NOT TOUCH. This was important because our Yorkies are so cute that the airline staff will often take them out & play with them, and you really don't want a bunch of strangers handling your dog. Anyway, a lot of people disagree with shipping, and I understand their points - but personally I had no problems...
