Yes, this happened to Bailey when she was 3 mos old. It was a beautiful faux diamond studded buckle collar. She got the buckle stuck in her mouth - we were right there. Bailey was screaming and wiggling around. I couldn't get the buckle undone, I was freaking out - so hubby grabbed Bailey - I got the scissors - couldn't cut it - so hubby got the buckle undone.

From that point forward, I vowed - no more buckle collars - only the snap kind for easy release. And only wear collars when supervised. As a result, she doesn't wear a collar very often. She wears one only when we dress up and go out.

The down side is that if she gets lost - with no tags. I hope that never happens - I would just fall apart.
