I have to say, this probably ticks me off more than anything. After reading this I have smoke coming out of my ears. OMG - I'm fuming!!!!!

This right here is a perfect example of how SOME vets are JUST in it for the money. I'm sorry, I mean I know everyone has to make a living and you can't get stuff for free, BUT COME ON....how can ANYONE who TRULY CARES about animals turn away a sick baby like this? I'm sure that vet has plenty of money, and I don't think it would have hurt him OR his pocketbook one bit if he could have just let this poor lady pay it out to get her baby the help he/she needed. This is such a big issue with me and I cannot stand to hear about things this like. It ticks me off to NO END!!!

Ya know, I am always watching Animal Cops, etc. on Animal Planet and my hubby is absolutely correct. Alot of these owners get chewed out for not taking their animals in to get help when they are sick, but HOW CAN THEY when they are treated like this and turned down for care???? It is just SAD. And I completely understand the whole thing about people shouldn't own animals if they can't afford to take care of them properly, but we don't know EVERYONES story. What if someone gets a dog (or whatever type of animal) and is perfectly well off and then they suddenly lose their job and their animal gets sick? What the heck are they supposed to do then? I mean sometimes these things DO happen. It's just really freaking sad that some vets aren't willing to over look the money even for a SECOND to try and help these poor animals. This is something that really ticks me off and gets my blood boiling. I just feel so darn sorry for the animals (and the owners who are trying to help their pets) is all.
I use the most expensive and probably the most "known" vet in town. He is all over the T.V., newspaper, etc. and even though he is expensive, I use him simply BECAUSE you CAN make payments up there, if you need to. Luckily I haven't been in that situation yet but WHO KNOWS when you are going to walk in the door with a problem and your baby ends up needing a $800+ surgery. Some people don't HAVE credit cards, and I'm sure most people can't just pull $800 or more out of their you-know-where!! It just really ticks me off is all.

My vet is the ONLY vet in town who lets you make payments if you need to, and I do like that because you just NEVER know.
Anyway, that is my little rant

I feel really, really sorry for this person who got turned down care for her baby. It just ISN'T fair and I hope and pray that she was able to get help for her little one somewhere else.
