I disagree on this one. I think in my opinion they need two separate surfaces to learn. for instance when I had my litters, I lined the pen with a hard plastic material much like the plastic you use for desk chairs to roll on. 1/2 of the pen I would line with pads, I used paper except for the ones that chewed them, then I would use cloth ones. Once they got it, and they were set free (to one room), I placed many pads all over, because they are like kids and wait till the last minute because they are too busy playing then its like they have to go instantly and forget where the pads are. Thats why I had them placed all over. Slowly as they hit the pads and not the floors I would decrease the number of pads and eventually give them free roam. Almost all of my babies were potty broke pretty good by the time they went to their new homes. Just a thought. Everyone has different ideas. |
