Well, I am very sympathetic to any animal needing medical intervention and being turned away. But, there are several insurance plans out there for our furry family members. And, a few bucks a month with a small copay is much better to swallow than a whopping $800 all at once. I for one have all of mine insured just for this reason. Yes, I have a small fund put away for emergencies. But, most emergency room visits can eat that up just by walking in the door.
