Our Yorkie Tye and our cat Maggie will both be 6 in December. We rescued Tye in 2005 and we got Maggie December 2007 - we wondered how it would be but they don't even act like the other one is around.

Never had any problems other than my worry that Maggie weighs about 13 lbs (she is a fat cat) and Tye only weighs 4 lbs, so if she were to lay on him or pounce (which she never has) on him, she could really hurt him. When we are going to be gone for while we put Maggie in our bedroom with the door closed just so there will be no accidents.

They act like they have been together forever & they don't mind laying in close proximity to each other - they co-exist very well together.
