I can honestly say that if this had happened in an affluent neighborhood, i.e., Palm Beach, Hollywood, or Donald Trump's neighborhood
I would not be nearly as generous and helpful as I am trying to be now. Is that reverse racism ?
My heart goes out to the folks in NO who had little and lost all of it, but I think my heart wouldn't be as affected when the rich folks lose their vacation homes or the Mercedes.
The point I'm trying to make is that it's not so easy to blame it on racism. I know I'm not the only person who would rush to help the needier moreso than the rich.
