Do you know what his pre and post bile levels were? That sometimes helps to give an idea of whether is it MVD or one shunt...the higher the numbers the more indicative that it is a shunt...but that is not always the case..there are exceptions...
I would also reccomend the University of Tennesse their prices are not only cheaper but they are very experienced in MVD/LS. I have a Yorkie with MVD but if it had ended up being one shunt I was going to go to UT and I am from MA, but in the end it would have been cheaper for me to travel to UT then to have it done in Boston.... and that is what they are known for...so for me it was also their reputation....
