  I don't think this would be a red flag in your case, it's different with limited registration.  There are still plenty of bad AKC breeders that sell pups with full registration, no questions asked.  These are the same ones who often don't come up with any papers.  When a breeder is selling with limited registration, they expect you to offer proof of neutering before you get the final papers.  You can register your dog at any time in his life; it's just less expensive the first year.  I don't think you need to be worried, in fact it sounds like your breeder is one who cares what happens to the puppies she places.  |
