I don't want to cause terrible alarm, but when a part of the body truly loses its blood supply and actually "dies", gangrene can set in and cause massive systemic infection. Has the vet warned you of symptoms or next steps or what to look for? I mean, what is the plan for the little ears? Perhaps there is some tiny capillary blood still getting to the ears, but if they're black, I'm really concerned. I think you probably want to bring him in again.

Is Fort Dodge paying for all of this, bc they should be, shouldn't they?
