I don't see why they don't have a tent city in some parking lots. all pets welcome. but with a leash law. or at least a kennel.
I guess none of us really know what we would do in the same situation as all those people. but my thoughts right now is that i could never leave my dogs just as i would never leave my human children. there is no difference to me. I think i would have to hoof it (with dogs in hand) to a safe town if i had no transportation.
There are so many things to consider about being around other pets. control, waste, feeding, etc.(same concerns as being among humans) I would have to ask for a blanket for my dogs and I think that might upset our government a tad bit. LOL
This whole situation has me thinking about making a lot of snuggles for pets for donations. too late for this disaster but i am sure there will be other times of need.
