Ugh... I posted before about my little cousin's bridal shower, which I ended up not going to because I felt I didn't get an official invitation. Well, I do have an official invitation to her stagette. One of her little sisters is too young to get into bars so they've decided to have the stagette at another friend's house (I'm assuming she's part of the wedding party). Anyways, on the weekend I missed a call from this girl but she left a message on my voicemail with the details....
They want each guest to bring their own drink, plus a mickey to share, plus an appetizer. This I can totally understand. They also want each guest to come dressed up as a cliche (she said "for example, a sexy french maid). UGH. For starters, what cliches are there about marriage besides being a maid? I can't think of anything else. Secondly, where would I find a costume at this time of year for a party in less than 2 weeks? And finally, I absolutely don't want to dress sexy for my little cousins and their friends
This girl also asked that we bring something for Kristen (my cousin) that she has to put on as soon as she gets there.
Did I mention I'm not really close to them at all? I totally want to be there for her, I'd love to actually have more of a relationship with her so I'm glad she wanted me to be invited, but I'm a pretty shy person and I can't just show up in some costume in some house where I don't know anyone!
Any advice?
