If you're looking for a healthier dry food, there are several out there that people really like..Nature's Variety, Wellness, Life's Abundance, California Natural, Natural Balance, etc.
I see nothing wrong with giving canned food along with the kibble as long as the canned is high quality and has good ingredients. Canned contains more moisture and is less processed than kibble.
