My yorkie puppy is 16weeks old this week and his head is silver and gray- which started to be really noticable about 2 weeks ago. When his coat parts, you can see some of the blue/silver coming out at the roots. He still has his puppy coat which is soft, but kind of crinkly- kind of like a perm gone wrong
! I heard that once you shave off the puppy coat, it will grow back silky... so I am waiting until he gets his last set of vaccination next week, and then its off to the groomer to get a buzz cut!
As for the toe nails, I was freaked out cutting is nails b/c I didn't know where his quick was so when I took him to the vet, the vet tech demonstrated a nail trimming for me. It was really helpful. Good luck!!!
