I know Joey loves walks and always seems happier if he gets a walk in, and they sleep better too. Try to maintain the same diet for a week or so, so that any health problems won't be attributed to new food. Is this your first Yorkie?

Yes this our first Yorkie. I have done some reading on raising them, but haven't found much advice on rehoming. I intend to keep him on his food, as I know this can upset any dogs digestive system. I believe he is on dry only, so I don't know if I will need to add a wet food as well or not.

I know its going to be rough going for awhile, but I think he will enjoy having the attention he once had. My daughter is just as excited as I am. I have a picture of him to show her, but she just can't wait. I intend to pass the time getting his room ready and reading as much as I can to be prepared for his transition. This is someone that I have wanted for quite sometime and hope that I can make him happy.

Thank you for all the welcomes and will keep everyone posted once he gets here.
