Love your babies name, Gwen. How cool. Hurry and learn to post pictures...we love pictures here!!

I love the guessing game on what Gracie will look like when she's all done. I'm excited to see what she's going to look like all grown up, but also, not wanting her to get there too quickly. I'm loving the puppy stage!

I got Gracie when she was 12 weeks old and her puppy coat matted daily. At first she too would try to eat the comb, my hand, her foot, my chin, anything she could reach. I would break up the grooming into several short sessions each night to try and keep it on a positive note. Also gave her a small bite of a treat every minute or so. I kept the treat out of sight otherwise. G is very treat motivated and would also fixate on it if she could see it. She is 6 months old now and is much better about the grooming. She still, somewhat, chews the comb, but mostly she just licks my hand if she starts to get too stressed. I watch for her cues and take a break if she needs it. Also, still lots of treats, praise and play during the sessions to help. So just be patient, calm and don't quite, most of the issue is her age, it will get better.

I can't help with the nails, tho. I'm too big a chicken to even try doing them. I take her to the groomers and have them clip 'em. For me, it's worth the money to not have to stress about quicking her.
