I too am a stickler to the colors listed as standard! There is a reason for the standard, its boundaries to maintain what a Yorkies should look like..I feel like (and everyone is human..the ole give an inch and a mile is taken) if different colors are accepted, then different coats, eyes, ears, snouts, tail sets, you name it will be the next to want change in...then we will end up with and "anything goes" look for these little guys!!! There is already so much variation. I have so many ppl tell me, "well so and so has a Yorkie but, it doesn't look like yours", I hear this so much and I'll ask, well how is theirs different...and its either, "well the one I saw has a long skinny snout and longer legs", or ,"theirs is all black except for the head", or"theirs has curly hair and alot bigger ears"....I love all dogs and would have a herd of them here, whether they are Yorkie or not, but I like the look of what is standard!!!! There needs to be boundaries on them
