This past march when kirby was 11 mos, He got part of a brittle chew chip wedged into the lining of his esophagus. HE became extremely ill . IT became inflamed and infected even before the two our surgery it took to get it out. HE was hospitalized at the university Hosp for4 days. HE took special meds to help heal the opening and prevent full preforation. He now has scar tissue along his esophagus. He is under 4 pounds. He has a sensitive gag reflex now also.
