Hi, I don't have a golden but I do have a 120lb chocolate labs, does that count? anyways him and Jovie are the best of buds, and were from the moment I brought Jovie home, we call him (scooby) the babysitter, if Jovie wonders out of his eyesite, he starts barking and if she doesn't come he will go after her, its amazing, he should have been a female dog because he acts just like a momma protecting his baby. She even sleeps on his back alot, too cute. Most goldens have the same personality as labs do, so you should have no problem, the only thing that worried me when Jovie was small, that scoob would accidently roll over on her. It sounds like you have a very loving dog so you should have no problem, just watch them for a few days to make sure, and then let the new loving, friendship begin, good luck.
