Duke doesn't do this to me, but he will do it to other people at times. If he is by me and someone tries to move him he will growl and try to bite, or if he is by a door or something and someone tries to move him away, if he feels threatened by them he will do the same thing. It's mostly with men and I think that is because he had negative experiences with my father when I first got him.
If yours has always been this way, maybe something is making her feel threatened. Or maybe you should try picking her up a different way
